I do not come from the traditional karting background. I first started driving with a lesson from Young Driver on my eleventh birthday and was hooked from that moment. I used to save my pocket money to pay for a few lessons a year.
But motorsport has always been my passion as I love the smell and atmosphere of a race track, and I thrive on the pressure and challenge a race weekend brings.
In 2015, when I was just fourteen years old, I volunteered my spare time to help racing teams, and spent many long weekends working with them, doing anything from washing wheels through to helping with mechanical repairs.
Following a lot of hard work in 2016 I entered the Junior Saloon Car Championship as a father/daughter team, with the least experience and smallest budget on the grid in an under powered car. Despite this, I built a reputation for fast starts and making the most of close racing in the opening laps, with many strong performances such as Donington Circuit, where I went from 23rd on the grid to 14th place in the opening two laps.
Improved support for me in 2017 has allowed me to run as part of the multiple championship winning Jade Developments Michelin Clio Cup team. Despite just two tests before the season started, I secured 2nd place in the first race, and have secured back-to-back podium finishes and race leading performances since, winning my first race in the wet by over 17 seconds at Donington circuit in July.
I am determined to forge a career in motorsport in either saloon or GT cars.
I am being followed across the season by Geoff Twentyman from BBC Radio and was even featured on BBC TV in 2016
